Dream Flyers…  Who are we…? What are we…? What are we doing here…?

We are the fearless… Except for the fear of not living hard enough

We are the wild… We are the untameable

We are parachutists.

We are the ones your parents warned you about…

We never grow up… We never get old…

What most people dream… We live…

Come join in on the fun 🙂

This site is dedicated to documenting, discussing, and progressing the sports of skydiving, wingsuiting, and BASE jumping, through discussion  and visual arts.

Who and Why?

My name is Kyle Benesh, and I’m the creator of Dreams Flyers. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to fly. When I was 6 years old, I can remember the first time I saw the movie Drop Zone and began “practicing for later in life” I thought, by jumping off progressively higher and higher steps in the stairway of my parent’s house with a shopping bag over my head; pretending to be a skydiver under parachute. This dream remained dormant in my mind for a long time until seventeen years later, I made plans to do my first skydive with a lovely woman I’d been seeing. The day came and out the door we went. In that moment, as my feet left the floor and my body quickly dropped away from the airplane I knew I had made the most unchangeable decision I had ever made in my life; and it felt amazing and freeing. I fell in love with skydiving in that moment and have been living that dream ever since.

I’ve been skydiving for 3 years and in that time I’ve gotten to opportunity to travel all over the world to jump out of lots of different types of aircraft with so many different kinds of people. This lifestyle, as I like to call it, is Destination Skydiving; and I want to share my journey with all of you.

I don’t claim to be the best skydiver, most knowledgeable, or have all the answers; but I hope that this site will help bring those people together to help us all improve and to show the world what we can do, and what they can too!

WTF are we doing here?

We will be posting original media content in the form of videos, photography, articles, discussions, reviews of drop zones and equipment, as well as community sourced content from our friends. Our goal is to progress freefall sports and contribute to the community of skydivers, wingsuiters, and BASE jumpers through outreach to non-skydivers, positive-safety oriented discussion, and showing the world how we live our dreams.

So put your rig away, turn the beer light on, and check out the website.

We are the Dream Flyers!
